I’m a New Yorker who actually doesn’t go the Hamptons that often. I make it out there about twice a summer and I LOVE to go out in the off-season to play around. When I do make it out to NYC By The Shore, I like to make it a low-key weekend of reading by the pool, great dinners and some mandatory beach time.
On my list this summer? Capri Hotel in Southampton, newly acquired by the dream team of Steven Kamali (the genius behind Surf Lodge and Ruschmeyers in Montauk,) Jackie Mansfield (a partner of the W Hotels,) and David Edelstein, the man behind the amazing W South Beach Hotel & Residences (I’m a not-so-secret travel and leisure nut.)

The gorgeous 30-room boutique hotel has some amenities that are pretty hard to pass up, especially their new partnership with L’Oreal Paris. Enter their Bathing Club nestled in the gardens behind the hotel and you will discover a)paradise and b) the L’Oreal Paris Sublime Suncare Beauty Bar.
Packed with seven products from the line in SPFs 30 and 50 with UVA/UVB broad-spectrum protection, you have access to all the sunscreen your heart desires. Spray formulas, facial formulas, clear mists – however you like to protect yourself, they’ve got your covered – literally.
Other amenities I’m looking forward to checking out: Baked by Melissa cupcakes upon check-in (tiny, delicious, addictive), on-location Zipcars, a NoBu lounge onsite and a Cynthia Rowley-curated boutique. But mostly, you’ll find me packed onto a lounge chair, enjoying tons of SPF and at least two books from my summer reading list. I’ll be there a while. Thank goodness for that L’Oreal Paris sunscreen bar.
