The star of this weekend’s nail party: Deborah Lippmann Let’s Go Crazy nail lacquer, exclusive to Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale, starting July 20th.
First of all, I have been a Prince fan since, like, forever. I have all the albums, have seen all the movies (Purple Rain is still one of my favorite movies of all time,) and, seriously, what gets a party started better than “Let’s Go Crazy?” His Purple Badness still reigns supreme in my music collection.
This weekend’s nail is inspired by The Artist Currently Known As The Artist Formerly Known As A Symbol But Who Is Currently Prince. Both polishes are from my beloved Deborah Lippmann, the celebrity manicurist who works on everyone (rock stars, models, Cher) and who has her own amazing line of polishes and products that are collector-worthy.

This manicure is ridiculously simple to pull off. Two-to-three coats of a good blood red (Lippmann’s Bitches Brew is infallible in this regard) covered with one or two coats of the AMAZING aptly-named Let’s Go Crazy, which is (please read this fine print carefully) a Nordstrom exclusive for their Anniversary Sale, which starts July 20th. More on that sale later.
Either of these colors will totally work on their own, but the combination is pretty amazing….and perfect for having your own little Beauty Party of One.
