I’m of the mind that sunglasses are a year-round accessory. Because, even though summer fun means tons of summer sun, you have to protect your eyes from damaging UV rays so you might as well look good doing it. For those of us who rock prescription frames, I point your direction toward Lookmatic, a fantastic online destination for on-trend (and some good classic) prescription eyewear and sunglasses.

Each year, they consult with tastemakers for some pretty fabulous collaborations and in addition to a pair of frames designed by actor Jason Schwartzman (called the UncleLeonard after the glasses most commonly worn by his uncle, Leonard), are my favorite sunglasses by super-amazing-you-must-shop-there retailer TENOVERSIX.
Creative Director Kristin Lee designed her frames, called “Patti Goes To Paris”, as an homage to rocker icon/poet/author Patti Smith, which means she had me at the Patti part. The retro glam look is kind of an instant upgrade to first class for even the most casual jeans and t-shirt look and they’re PRESCRIPTION, which means you don’t have to do the vanity dance I do of squinting through non-prescription frames and then switching to your glasses when you don’t want to rock/can’t find/haven’t ordered your contacts.
Don’t judge me too harshly. I just haven’t gotten AROUND to ordering prescription frames. But after discovering these, I think my problem is solved.
Each of the styles will be offered in three color styles for $130. Check them – and other amazing styles – out on Lookmatic now. Hence, both of us will have that prescription sunglasses problem SOLVED.
