People say that people who can’t dance have two left feet. Evidently, people who can’t shop have two right feet. My crazy mistake from the DKNY Sample Sale.

OK, so before I head over to my friend’s place to officially start my vacation (which should have started two days ago), I wanted to show you something really funny. At least I think it is. I’m about to tell on myself.

I hit the DKNY Sample Sale last week and basically LOST MY MIND purchasing items. I got shoes, I got shirts, I got a coat, I hit the Mother Lode. First sample sale for the brand of its kind, I was so excited, especially when I found these amazing shoes. I found them under the table in the back.

“HA!”, I thought to myself. “Someone STASHED these. BOOYAH!”

I threw it on the right foot, fell madly in love and raced to the front of the sale with my shoes. I had no intentions of looking back. I purchased the lot and got home, practically buzzing with purchases.

Until I started putting things away…and realized what I’d done.

Notice anything different about the shoes above? THEY’RE BOTH RIGHT SHOES. As in, there is no left shoe. In my crazed happiness, I purchased two right shoes and no left shoe. Hence, I have learned a very valuable lesson: remain focused, breathe calmly and keep your wits about you at a sample sale.

It’s totally my fault but I’m laughing hysterically. What should I do with the second shoe? I think I’ll put weights in them and make them stylish bookends.

I’m such a dork. Has anyone else done something like this? Let me hear it!
