Backstage at Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2013 Collection was really a bit hectic, but the look was really gorgeous and oh-so-pretty. Here’s a breakdown of the gorgeous looks spied backstage before the models went out onto the runway:
Makeup: Created by celebrity makeup artist and Lead Artist for Stila Cosmetics, Sarah Lucero, the look was created in concert with the collection’s inspiration, the photos of Slim Aarons, a photographer of socialites and the jet set of the 60′s and 70′s. The mint-hued eye brought out some of the pops of florals in the collection. Here are the products that were used to get the look:
Complexion: Stila Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer
Eyes: Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Turquoise (Spring 2013), Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Stingray and Stila Smudge Pot in Black
Cheeks: Stila Convertible Color in Camellia and Stila Custom Color Blush in Self-Adjusting Bronze
Lips: Stila Convertible Color in Camellia
Finishing Touches: Stila Forever Your Curl Mascara and Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Brow Color
Nails: Haven Spa for Essie (which is where I – and this is completely unsolicited, go for bulletproof mani-pedis in New York) used a gorgeous mint green hue, Mint Candy Apple, in 2-3 coats to compliment the collection on hands and feet.
Hair: TRESemme Lead Stylist Jeanie Syfu said Rebecca wanted a messy, 80′s-inspired look that was loose and beachy, that worked with the model’s natural texture. A 1″ curling iron was used on the mid-lengths of the hair only if the model had rather fine hair, but otherwise the crown and ends were smooth with the middle of the look textured and windblown. The mid-length of the hair was crafted using TRESemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo to give it texture with movement and shine.
The finished look? Rather pretty, I’d say. Check it out:
