I don’t know about you, but this week was mighty stressful. Between a ton of meetings, appointments and really fun photo shoot yesterday (more about that later), it’s been a barn burner of a week for me. Let’s also add to that the constant bickering about who won last night’s Vice Presidential Debate and I am OVER IT.
I’m declaring this weekend Politics and Drama Free.
But before I can do that, I need to unwind and relax so my shoulders can go back to their rightful place (they’re currently up near my ears,) which means three of my favorite beauty products are coming out to play. I use all of these quite regularly, so I feel quite comfortable recommending them to you. All can be purchased for under $15 at a store near you and I recommend you buy them. Like, now.
Johnson’s Nighttime Baby Bedtime Bubble Bath and Wash ($7, available at Target) – Honestly, this is a secret weapon that needs to not be so secret. Not only can it knock adults out as well as any child, but it’s incredibly mild to skin. It also helps with something else (those who get freaked out with TMI female talk, look away now): yeast infections. If other bubble baths irritate your lady bits, I highly recommend trying the Johnson’s Baby products for a chance. Much more soothing.
Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salt Soaking Solution in Calm Chamomile ($8, available via your local drugstore or Drugstore.com) – I would like to personally thank this amazing solution for not only keeping me sane during my recent apartment move, but for relieving all the incredibly sore muscles and bad attitude that moving into a fourth-floor walk-up can cause. This has the world’s most delicious scent and it relieves soreness and stress like nothing else I have ever tried. Get it. Get it now.
Soap & Glory Calm One Calm All Bubble Bath ($14, available via Sephora) – I live for this amazing bubble bath, which delivers bubbles that pile high and a gorgeous scent of lemon balm and mallow extract. It softens skin beautifully and – let’s be frank, girls – it’s PINK, which makes it all the more fun. Honestly, I love this bubble bath. I’m putting a ring on it.
So, let’s all take a moment to soak our cares away this weekend, shall we? Enjoy and take a moment to just let it go. Treating yourself is truly part of living well.
Happy Weekend, everyone!
