I have worn glasses since I was 10 years old (and we won’t talk about the braces that followed the next year.) I’ve always been a tad self-conscious about my frames, which is why you rarely see photos of me in my specs. I know that the old adage that guys don’t make passes at girls who wear glasses isn’t true, but I’ve been known to throw my glasses at the drop of a hat when in public settings.
Because squinting is oh-so sexy.
But recently, I’ve reached an age where I’ve realized that I can rock contact lenses for special occasions, but I’ve come to regard my eyeglasses as a fashion accessory, a sassy style statement that can upgrade my look. With this in mind, let’s just say that the glasses I had were nice but they didn’t exactly fit my vision of myself. I need more “magazine editor” than “librarian chic.”
So, since I was going to head to LensCrafters anyway to pick up a new pair of glasses, I called them up to ask them if I could film the AccuFit process for you so you could see how it works. Because not only do they have a super sassy selection of frames at a wide variety of price points, but the AccuFit process will make sure that they fit your face beautifully and provide HD-quality vision. I’m in LOVE with this process. Glasses that can work as sharply as contact lenses? Sign me up.
