If you’re following me on Foursquare, you will note that I am fighting for mayorship of one location with some other NYC beauty mavens so frequently they probably need to strip us down and let us fight it out gladiator pit style because we love this place so much. Although, that would be the antithesis of the reason we go to this wonderful location to relax, unwind and destress on an epic level so we’ll just hug it out. What location am I speaking of? Soho’s most amazing location – Haven Spa.

Haven is a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the nonstop lives of New Yorkers and a must for the fashion and beauty set. Descend those stairs on Mercer Street and it’s instant “ahhhh” – the tranquility of the entry room is enough to entice you to take a nap. After checking in, you’re walked by the mani-pedi station, which is where you will find me most of the time because it is home of the bulletproof manicure-pedicure. I have never had a mani-pedi chip sooner than 10 days from this spa. Just saying.

You’ll change into a robe and await your service in a dimly-lit waiting room with plush couches and almost complete silence (which is essential for New Yorkers, since the noise overload can eventually shoot your nerves to death.) Take your pick of amazing treatments, especially those from the Naturally You menu, which features services using the eco-certified skin care line PATYKA (a personal favorite of mine.) I’m a huge fan of the body treatments, so I’d suggest the 30-minute Naturally Smooth body scrub (using organic oils and natural sea salt) paired with the Naturally Radiant facial (a gorgeous, results-oriented facial using all eco-certified and organic ingredients – mindblowing and the only time I cheat on my facialist.) From the eco-certified menu to facials, body treatments, massages, waxing and even packages, why not treat yourself to just an hour in the mani-pedi station? There are iPads loaded up for your use while you get a pedicure if you’ve GOT to get that email. In short, whatever you need, Haven has you covered.

As a matter of fact, you’ll probably see me there. I don’t really consider visits to Haven “treating myself,” since taking care of yourself is essential to being your absolute best.  With amazing treatments and a soothing, tranquil atmosphere, there’s only one place you need to go to detox, relax and emerge feeling all right with the world again -Haven Spa.
